2 → La maison avait été vendue quand je l'ai vue l'an dernier.
The house had been sold when I saw it last year.
3 → Le chat avait déjà disparu quand le téléphone sonna.
The cat had already disappeared when the phone rang.
4 → Où était-il allé l'année précédente ?
Where had he gone the year before ?
Where had he been the year before ?
5 → Je ne l'avais pas vue quand tu m'as demandé où elle était.
I hadn't seen her when you asked me where she was.
6 → Si tu avais été là , tu l'aurais vue.
If you had been there, you would have seen her.
Remarque :"... would have seen ..." = WOULD + infinitif passé de see (to have seen)
